The Fashion Show
The Fashion Show at Iowa State University is a class that gives students the real experience of producing a fashion show event. The show is held every spring and is completely student-run. Interested students must apply to be on specific committees. I had the opportunity to be on the Art Committee in 2022 and 2023.
Art Committee
The Art Committee is responsible for making a brand kit for promotional items and any other products that are connected to each year’s show. The brand kit will change every year to reflect the new theme of each show. The Art Committee will work with that brand kit throughout the semester to produce promotion materials and complete art requests from other committees. This could include creating instagram posts or posters for The Fashion Show related events, designing merchandise to be sold at The Fashion Show, and putting together the program for the show.
